    Location of the event: Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library, 8th Floor, the Robarts Library, 130 St. George Street, Toronto, Ontario M5S 1A5 Scope, content and purpose of the exhibit: This exhibition will Introduce a unique group of Chinese people - Hakka People, with its specificities in the areas of culture and history in an academic environment. Reach the student body, academia and the larger public through a university campus exhibit and all the promotional/educational elements surrounding it, and ramifications deriving from it. Through the exhibition, the diverse diasporas are depicted with their specific history, culture, art as well as the iconic landmarks of their new lands. This exhibit also sets the stage for modern migrations from the diasporic countries to Canada. Viewers will be able to see the living migrations and history unfolding in present times. Showcase through the exhibit of archetypal items and pictures the cultural uniqueness of the Hakka communities in China (in various villages): Hakka culture is unique in terms of the migrations of its people.

    The exhibition can be viewed during the library's open hours.
    Opening Ceremony will be held on May 1, 2:00 - 3:00 pm in Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library, 8th Floor, the Robarts Library, 130 St. George Street with RSVP arrangement
